New Era Coming This Week!
Brand new look coming for the website...
Get Ready - An exciting new era is coming.
That’s right, a brand new start for this website will be ushered in over the next day or so and I am beyond pumped.
After having a Come To Jesus moment a while ago, I was gifted with the vision of a new name, a new look and a new approach for this website.
It feels like the sports website I was born to create.
The new name and the new appearance will directly reflect and represent what this website is and will always be about.
Great, unique sports content written by a sports fanatic for other sports fanatics.
That edict is going to be at the heart of everything I do with the site moving forward.
Sports is meant to be fun and entertaining, and the new-look website is going to act as the one-stop candy store where we can all hang out and talk about our favorite thing in life.
I want this to be a community where fans from all over can gather and just talk sports in a relaxed, politics-free zone. We’re all about sports here. Forget about the rest of the crap.
I’ve grown up on sports and it is all I’ve known my entire life. Heck, writing and talking about sports is all I’m really good at, and it is what I’m passionate about more than anything else. And that’s what this fresh start is - a chance to sit around with you and talk sports all day and all night.
I mean, what could be better?!
There’s so many exciting, fresh and just really cool things on the way, and I can’t wait to share them with you all.
I won’t go into any more detail now - I’ll save that for the launch.
Now, on that subject, I was hoping to pull the trigger on the rebrand a week or so ago. But, as Woody Allen once said, if you want to make God laugh, tell him about your plans.
I should really know better by now not to put timescales on things, because they very rarely work out. It is what it is.
However, we’ve now got everything in place ready to go and you will see a very different looking website over the coming hours.
My aim is to get everything relaunched by Wednesday night. All being well.
Given how Substack works, all changes are made live straightaway so if you are on the site and notice anything weird, like logos disappearing or pages randomly changing color, don’t panic. There are no angry little gremlins currently inside the system, chewing through wires and generally causing chaos. At least to my knowledge anyway. And, as far as I know, Substack seems to have pretty solid walls up so I think we’re safe from Russian hackers too.
At least I hope so (yes, I’m furiously touching any bit of wood I can get my hands on right now).
Anyway, the point I’m trying to make is if the site starts acting weird over the next few hours, don’t be alarmed. It will just be me working away in the background getting everything in place ready for the grand relaunch.
Or, it could be those freaking gremlins…
I’m really excited to share this new look and this fresh new chapter with you.
It’s going to be a great one.
