Opening Day Newsletter Sale Reminder
Plus, a quick look at what is coming up on the website over the next week or so...

We haven’t even reached the end of Opening Weekend and yet it has been quite the start to the 2025 MLB season.
Baseball has been back for a matter of days and it is like it never left. I will happily confess to watching copious amounts of baseball since Opening Day on Thursday.
I’ve had several screens all going at once every day, although I have found it hard to take my eyes off of the Yankees these past couple of days. Do you think they heard all the trash talk being aimed at them throughout the offseason and decided enough was enough? They are certainly playing pissed off given how many homers they’ve sent flying through the Bronx air this weekend.
And before anyone accuses the Yanks of cheating with these fascinating new ‘Torpedo’ bats, let me make a couple of things clear for you:
MLB have already declared these bats perfectly legal;
Other teams have been experimenting with them, and the Twins used one on Sunday;
Aaron Judge, who hit four home runs and finished the series against the Brewers with 11 RBIs, isn’t even using the new torpedo bat, so throw your dumb complaints and wild, stupid inaccurate claims of cheating in the trash.
Okay, I’m happy that is off my chest. Social media conspiracy theorists / moaners drive me insane.
Anyway.
There has been a ton of other cool stuff happening in Major League Baseball over the past few days, and I’m going to get to a lot of that soon.
But, before I do, I just wanted to remind you that there is currently an Opening Day sale to be taken advantage of.
The offer runs until April 15.
Now, as I’ve said before, all content will remain absolutely FREE. Upgrading to a paid subscription will just help the website and newsletter to grow, and will enable me to keep the lights on and the train on the tracks.
Plus, any paid subscriptions will ensure that I can focus all of my time and energy on giving you the best possible content output every single day.
However, and I’ve been thinking a lot about this, you need to give in order to get and so I do want to offer something to anyone willing and able to upgrade to a paid subscription.
It could be a weekly baseball chat on Zoom. Maybe you can tell me what to write a certain amount of times a year. Or maybe you can come on the podcast and lead the show for an hour. If you have any other suggestions, I’d love to hear them.
But, if you are so kind to upgrade your subscription to a paid one, then I will make sure it is worth your while.
Again, if you can’t, that’s fine too. Your support and encouragement will always mean the absolute world. I can only do this because of you.
If you do want to help support the newsletter, but don’t want to get locked into a subscription, you can do so by either sharing or making a small, one-off donation to my Buy Me A Coffee Page. Both links are below:
I want to keep on getting better and I’m really excited about some of the stuff I’ve got planned now baseball season is here.
To that end, here is a taster of what you can expect from the site / newsletter over the next several days…
Around The Bases - I will be launching my new weekly baseball column this week, and I’m currently working on a taster version. I’ve been wanting to do something like this for years, and I’m really excited to get this launched and to hear your thoughts;
Divisional Breakdowns - Okay, so I realize that the regular season is now underway, but I think I’ve got another week until pumping out preview content no longer becomes acceptable;
Bold Predictions - I have a ton of bold and not-so-bold predictions for the 2025 MLB season. I wanted to get this out over the weekend, but expect this in your inboxes on Monday;
There will be lots more coming down the pike too. Baseball season is now well and truly back, and I am fully in my element.
Thank you as ever for supporting the website / newsletter and allowing me to talk and write about baseball every single day.
I can’t thank you enough for that.
