It was announced on Saturday that the New York Rangers and Head Coach Gerard Gallant had parted ways.
It was hardly a surprising turn of events given how the season panned out for the Blueshirts. Despite adding Vladimir Tarasenko and Patrick Kane at the Trade Deadline, they were unable to make it out of the First Round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs after losing to the New Jersey Devils in seven.
It was the way in which the Rangers lost that was most concerning, and it became clear that a new voice was needed for a talented group that severely underachieved.
Andrew jumped on for an Emergency Podcast to dissect what went wrong for Gallant, who was at fault and what’s next for this team. Andrew also took a look at who could be the next man behind the bench for the Blueshirts.
