I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving on Thursday. And, if you woke up this morning and couldn’t fit into Wednesday’s jeans, then you know you celebrated the holiday the right way.

This has been a tough one and I’ve not been nearly as consistent as I would have liked due to a plethora of personal issues. But, of course, there will be lots of sports talk. Hot Stove season is about to explode, so expect plenty of Juan Soto-centric content over the coming days. I’ll be all across MLB Free Agency as all the big moves happen. It feels mad to say it but we’re about to enter the stretch period of the NFL regular season. I’ll have a myriad of views on the NHL and NBA, not to mention a weekly random sports musings column, which has become somewhat of a speciality of mine. There will also be a slew of other fun features, not to mention the relaunch of The Andrew Steele Podcast and the introduction of some video components to the site. For instance, I might post a simple five-minute video on a Tuesday morning offering up my unique views on the weekend’s slate of NFL action. Another idea I have is to hop on and do a live video immediately in the wake of some breaking sports news. This would be a cool new feature to trial whenever Juan Soto decides to sign somewhere.
Furthermore, I really want to get into things like mailbags, as well as utilizing the really cool Substack Chat feature. I want to be able to connect and talk sports with all of you on a daily basis.
In short, I have grand plans to turn The Steele Sports Bar into the ultimate online destination for sports fans. A little slice of online sports heaven, if you like. I’m hungrier and more determined than ever to take some big swings and make this newsletter something special. The last year has been hard and I need to really earn your readership and support, but I’m beyond confident that the coming 12 months will be our biggest and best yet.
