A (Very) Brief Programming Update
Plus, what's to come today and some rapid-fire NFL Championship Sunday predictions...
Happy NFL Championship Sunday all!
No matter how you are planning to watch today’s two games - be it at home stuck to the couch or out at a bar with friends - we should be in for a truly stellar night of postseason football.
I don’t know about you but the 90’s kid in me is really rooting for a Washington - Buffalo Super Bowl matchup. Talk about ultimate nostalgia.
Before we all settle in for another night of can’t miss football, however, I just wanted to jump on and touch base on a couple of things really quickly.
Firstly, I just want to apologize for being quiet this week. That wasn’t my intention, but this week has absolutely flown by and it just got away from me. Actually, this entire month has been going by in the blink of an eye and I can’t quite believe we’re nearly at the end of January already. Madness.
Anyway, I’ve been grinding away on a couple of other projects this week, in addition to fulfilling my freelance obligations. There just weren’t enough hours in the day and my entire schedule has been out of whack all week long. Hence my absence this week. It has just been one of those stretches where I’ve had so much to get done, and not enough time in which to accomplish it all.
However, I’m slowly catching my breath again and I wanted to touch base quickly with all of you. This website is my main priority, so it’s important that I get a couple of things out today and end the week strong.
I will be back later with more detailed previews of the two Championship games, but I’ll include some quick predictions below for those of you who may be out and about later.

Okay, here are my super-quick predictions for today’s two Championship Games in the NFL:
NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME:
COMMANDERS OVER Eagles
Washington is seemingly riding a magical wave of destiny all the way to the Super Bowl, and I think they will get there thanks to Jayden Daniels. Plus, I just don’t trust Jalen Hurts. He’s compromised, and if you take into account the eye test and all the advanced metrics, he’s not been good for a while now. I’m all in on the Commanders, and my gut tells me that their truly incredible season will continue tonight.
AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME:
BILLS OVER Chiefs
You should never, ever, ever bet against the Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes. Have we learned nothing from this almost-dynastic run?! However, with all that said, my gut just tells me that today is the day the Bills are finally going to slay the dragon. Josh Allen is going to out-Superman Mahomes and set up an old-school Buffalo - Washington showdown in Super Bowl LIX.
I went 2-for-2 in my Divisional Round picks last week, so we’ll see if I can do a little better tonight.
