Happy Holidays!
I hope you are all having a wonderful festive season with your friends and loved ones.
This is always a special time of year, and especially so for sports fans because of the slew of games we have to look forward to in a very condensed window. Christmas really is the gift that keeps on giving for sports fanatics.
So, on that note, I just wanted to jump on and share my writing plans from now through the end of 2024.
With NFL and NBA games on Christmas Day, Bowl Games, the College Football Playoff Quarterfinals, the NHL and some big name MLB free agents still hanging out there in the wind, there will be a whole lot to talk about over the next several days.
Here’s what to expect on the site and from the newsletter:
What I want for Christmas from each of the teams I root for. To the Knicks, Devils, Jets and Mets, I promise I’m not going to ask for much;
Thoughts on the Christmas Day bacchanal with a mouthwatering slate of NFL and NBA games to dive into. Not to mention Netflix’s highly-anticipated NFL debut;
I am going to try and blast out a couple of random sports musings pieces over the next week considering the boatload of things we’ll have to dive into and discuss;
From the sad passing of an icon in Rickey Henderson, to Kyle Tucker being traded to the Cubs, to a ton of other baseball stuff, I want to catch up on everything that has been going on throughout the Hot Stove season;
We’re nearly at the end of one year, which means the beginning of another. As such, I’ll be sharing some hopes for my New York sports teams as we prepare to welcome in 2025;
Finally; I’ll be sharing some of my favorite sports moments from 2024 with you, in addition to looking back on the newsletters I loved writing the most, and the newsletters you loved reading the most. I’ll also share some of the things I’ve enjoyed reading / watching / listening to the most this year.
There might be additional newsletters, too, but that’s the rough guide for the holiday season and the rest of this year.
Thank you as ever for all of your support. The goal is to finish 2024 on a high so that we can enter the New Year with all the juice, ready for a monster 2025 here at The Steele Sports Bar.
Until then - have a wonderful holiday season.
