What's Next At Blogs Of Steele
No downtime planned as we look to take the next big leap...
We’re approaching a period of downtime in sports right now.
The NBA season has concluded with the Denver Nuggets winning their first championship in 47 years thanks in large to the excellence of Nikola Jokić - you can read our piece on the greatest basketball player on the planet right now HERE.
We then saw another champion crowned on Tuesday after the Vegas Golden Knights absolutely pummelled the fairytale Florida Panthers into submission to win their first Stanley Cup in franchise history just six years in. Vegas’ successful ascension to the top of the mountain officially brought the 2022-23 NHL season to a close.
So, with two of the four major American sports now entering their offseason - and the NFL currently in theirs - what does that mean for Blogs Of Steele?
Don’t worry - we aren’t going anywhere.
For starters, there is no such thing as an offseason in sports in the modern day and we still have some stories in the works based on the Golden Knights becoming kings of the hockey world.
We will then have the 2023 NHL Entry Draft and then NHL Free Agency, both of which are rapidly approaching, and we’ll be right across both of those events. And, as part of my plans to expand our Basketball coverage, there will be coverage of the NBA Free Agency period too which is always a fun time.
There’s still so much baseball left to play and, given my background as a baseball writer these last few years, you’ll start to see a plethora of MLB content on the site over the coming weeks and months ranging from interviews to unique features to long-form stories and so much more.

And, with mandatory minicamps currently taking place, it won’t be long before the NFL is back. So, in other words, there’s still plenty of sports to tide us over for the next few weeks.
Plus, we’ve started to release some really cool features including my search for an MLS team. We’ve got some updates on that coming later this week. We’re also in the process of getting ‘The Andrew Steele Podcast’ back up and running, and there’s a plethora of content in the tank ready to go.
So, while a couple of sports seasons have now come to a close, we at Blogs Of Steele are still very much on the grind and we’re here to get you through the dog days of summer.
