How & Where To Follow My Work This Baseball Season
Details on every outlet I'll be covering baseball for. Plus, further details on The Steele Sports Bar's 2025 lineup of new baseball content...

Baseball is finally back and we’re just a couple of days out from spring training games getting underway.
In other words, we’re on the cusp of waving goodbye to a harsh and frigid winter, and instead edging ever closer to spring and the return of the best game on the planet.
For me, the return of baseball means a sharp increase in my daily workload, although I’m always reluctant to call writing about baseball for a living work. I mean, I’m the luckiest guy on the planet to get to do what I do. It will never, ever feel like work or a chore, and the excitement levels never seem to fade.
Anyway, with Hot Stove season now over and with the real fun about to begin, I thought it would be a good idea to detail all the outlets I’ll be covering baseball for this season. I also wanted to add some more detail to the new lineup of baseball content I have planned for the 2025 season on this website.
In terms of following my work elsewhere, I currently freelance for a couple of baseball outlets, and there might be another one thrown into the mix depending on how things shake out later this week.
As of right now, however, I cover the Mets for
, which is a stellar and essential daily newsletter for all Mets fans. I will be producing two newsletters a week for Just Mets throughout the 2025 season, and I’ll also be writing newsletters for them on Wednesday and Thursday of this week. The entire team at Just Mets do an outstanding job, and all content is free so I urge any Mets fans to go and subscribe right now.I also write about the Mets for Metsmerized, which has been setting the standard for coverage of the Mets for quite some time now. I have just re-upped with the site and will be penning regular columns, opinion pieces and 3 Up, 3 Down features throughout 2025. MMO provides extensive and incredibly in-depth coverage of the Mets all day, every day, and you can check out the website HERE.
As I mentioned up top, I might end up covering baseball for another outlet this year too, but I will update you on that when I have some concrete news. Keep your fingers crossed for me, though.
In terms of The Steele Sports Bar, I sent out a newsletter on Sunday detailing the website’s new lineup of baseball coverage and content for the 2025 MLB season. I just wanted to add a couple of quick things to the list, although I’m still workshopping other ideas too:
Uniform Rankings - MLB uniforms look to be back to normal following the atrocities we had to endure last year, and a number of teams have introduced new uniforms for the 2025 season. I’ll be ranking what I consider to be the best uniforms in baseball throughout the year.
Interviews - The Andrew Steele Podcast will be coming back with a new look and, potentially, a new name too. Once the 2.0 version of the podcast is back, I’ll be looking to bring on as many baseball-centric guests as possible. Previous guests have included The Athletic’s Britt Ghiroli, Chris Cotillo of MassLive, and Sports Illustrated’s Pat Ragazzo.
Ballpark Experience - My aim later this year is to do something a little different and cover the overall experience of going to games and ballparks. This will include trying out different food options, checking out the best pre-game bars and all the other fun stuff that goes into making a trip to the ballpark so magical.
Live Video - I’ve been looking into introducing a video element to what we do here. I’m still working out exactly what that will look like, but I am thinking about doing some live video content and maybe a weekly baseball show. I might trial the live video aspect by jumping on throughout spring training and giving my thoughts on games and storylines on a weekly basis in quick five-minute hits.
I’m working on a bunch of other stuff too, so keep on watching this space. In the meantime, the plan is to start rolling out our new lineup of baseball content towards the end of this week to mark the start of spring training games.
And, as ever, if you have any ideas or suggestions as to what you want to see covered on the site throughout baseball season, leave a comment below or email me: andrewsteeledavis22@gmail.com.
You can also follow me on X and on Bluesky, where I’m sure I’ll be dropping a plethora of baseball thoughts throughout the season.
Rejoice - Baseball is back!
