I'm a huge Yankees fan so I would love to hear your takes on injuries (We get a lot of them), young and upcoming players, records being broken and all the weird things that go on in the world of baseball in general!
Imagine me, a white-haired woman, wandering in and sitting at the bar. I don't drink. But you can keep the grape juice coming. I am wearing an Astros shirt.
The closest TV to me is showing Red Sox-Cardinals. Alex Bregman doubles. The TV guys mention Houston. I sigh as I peruse the menu. They just keep rubbing our nose in it over him.
Thirty-five years in Houston with two years in Ohio, escaping the snow back to Alabama, does not get it out of my system. Crowded Sink Nachos it is. No jalapenos or olives, please.
Someone nearby catches my Southern accent.
You follow basketball, he asks. Auburn sucked, he offers. I nod. No buckets when they needed them. At least, I mumble, they got further than Bama. This elicits a guffaw.
I feel myself blushing. Grape juice comes. I lift it and say, here's hoping Coogs best Gators. A smiling nod.
Nachos come and I watch the activity on TV, the wait people doing their jobs. Customers in and out. These nachos are good. Maybe I will come back.
The youth talent coming in. With Dollander pitching today and Zac Veen on the cusp of coming in the Rockies have a chance at a reboot in the next few years. Would be cool to get an outside perspective on who shows promise and who is hyped due to “purple colored glasses” of fans.
Guest post? About whut?

Hi Barbara, thank you so much for getting in touch and for reading!
You and your Astros shirt are always welcome here at The Steele Sports Bar, and I'll keep the grape juice coming all night long.
Watching Alex Bregman doing what he's doing in a Red Sox jersey must be tough.
I'm glad you enjoyed the Nachos, and I hope you keep on coming back. I will provide nachos (no jalapenos or olives), grape juice and Astros content.
Also, having re-read your comment multiple times, I would also love it if you were happy to do a guest post at some point!
I am a dodgers fan, but i would love to see some coverage on the A’s. I think they have a good team.
Totally agree. The A's are really funky, and they have a lot of young talent. I've got lots planned on the A's coming up
Doubt it will happen but as a Rockies fan I will always take more coverage on them. 😂
Jeff, your wish is my command! Anything in particular you want to see covered?

All really good suggestions, thank you! I will for sure follow that up and deliver some Rockies content for you! Thanks for reading, Jeff
